Friday Evening Eta Update For Tampa Bay
As awful as 2020 has been, the Tampa area has at least been able to dodge a few bullets this hurricane season. Tropical Depression Eta is making its way toward us. Denis Phillips from ABC Action News says it’ll impact us here in the Tampa area Tuesday or Wednesday after it makes a northwest turn Monday. But Denis also said in a tweet this afternoon “No worries” at this point and to remember his infamous rule #7.
No changes to our thinking this advisory. Eta should strengthen over the weekend and make a NW turn on Monday. I'll stick with my forecast of "squally" weather the 1st half of next week. If ETA ends up closer to the coast, the winds will be a bit higher. No worries. Rule #7. pic.twitter.com/bW3JwwWWr2
