It's moving along the west coast of Florida.
The National Hurricane Center, is reporting 75 mph sustained winds.
According to FOX 13's meteorologist, Dave Osterberg, Eta's hurricane status will likely be short-lived. It will likely downgrade when it makes landfall. It's possibly going to make landfall north of Citrus County.
The hurricane watch is in place from Anna Maria Island to Yankeetown.
From Bonita Beach to Steinhatchee River, which includes Tampa Bay and Charlotte Harbor, a storm surge watch is in effect.
