The man bought the ticket and got the surprise of his life.

The 67-year-old man picked up a “The Fastest Road To $1,000,000” scratch-off in St. Petersburg. He won the grand prize of $1 million, and chose to take it as a lump sum, which paid the man $790,000. He’ll get some bills paid off with that. Not bad for a $30 investment. The winning ticket was purchased at the Publix located at 1075 Pasadena Ave. The man told reporters that he’s been struggling financially to take care of his family, so good for him! And good for the employees too. The store in will get a $2,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

If he didn’t win, was he a doofus for spending $30 on a lottery ticket? What do you think, should we rush over to that location in hopes of also finding a winning ticket or does this mean that this man was the lucky one?
