It was a deadly and dangerous Sunday morning on Tampa area highways this morning.

Reports are that speeds reached 120 to 130 miles per hour as a high speed pursuit started in Pinellas County and came to an end with arrests in Lakeland this morning, according to IONTB.com. The chase came to an end and the suspects were taken into custody on I-4 near US 98 in Lakeland by Florida Highway Patrol. The chase is possibly related to an armed robbery in Tarpon Springs. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office posted a call in progress at 7:49AM on Lancer Lane. [Sources: IONTB, PCSO]

Earlier this morning, a deadly crash forced the complete shutdown of all southbound lanes of I-275 at Howard Avenue, according to WTSP. They say the incident happened at about 6AM. A 32 year old woman from Brandon was driving the wrong way on the ramp to 275 from Dale Mabry when she hit a pickup truck. [Source: WTSP]
