The Hillsborough County Commission received word on when recovery from Covid-19 could be.
According to experts from USF, there’s already a possible timeline to predict how Covid-19 will build in the Tampa Bay area.
USF’s Health experts told Hillsborough County Commissioners the area is on track for a resurgence of Covid-19, and it should peak in early February. They demonstrated with charts that showed results based on current requirements and how strengthened or weakened social distancing requirements would affect the results.
If there was a decrease in these requirements, the stats predict an increase in hospitalization, though a moderate strengthening of protocols would keep this from happening.
The conclusions included the use of vaccinations and strong protocols could keep that spike of Covid-19 cases from happening in early February, and the possibility of ending the pandemic by April.
