Candy Couser, a volunteer at Carole Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue in Tampa is now being treated for serious injuries after being bitten by a tiger yesterday morning. Reports say she stuck her arm in one of the cage’s feeding tunnels to open a closed panel. This caused one of the tigers, Kimba, to bite her when she reached into the cage. She was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital to get treated for her injuries.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of something like this happening. We also saw this happen to Kelci Saffery, a staff member at Joe Exotic’s zoo, documented in Netflix’s Tiger King.

Full information on Kimba the tiger and Candy Couser can be found on Big Cat Rescue’s website.
