Wow… Christmas back in ’84 was pretty awesome.  Check out the 10 biggest SNDP jams from that week. YOU have the unenviable task to pick the one that should kick off the show this Saturday night at 7!

10 Most Requested Songs For 2019 on the Q105 Saturday Night Dance Party

  • #1: Stevie B: Spring Love

    No surprise here... every week, we get at least a dozen calls for "Spring Love." We've pretty much declared it the SNDP national anthem. Stevie B blew the roof off the Yuengling Center at USF this summer at Freestyle Explosion when he finished his set with this one!

  • #2: Salt N Pepa: Push It

    They came to Florida this summer with the New Kids and blew us away! So many great hits like "Expression," "Let's Talk About Sex," and "Shoop." But "Push It" was the SNDP listeners' favorite this year.

  • #3: Michael Jackson: Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough

    The King of Pop has so many hit songs over 3 decades, but this is the one that always lights up our request lines on Saturday nights! "Beat It," "Thriller" and "Billie Jean" all were in the top 50.

  • #4: KC & The Sunshine Band: Shake Your Booty

    Several KC songs came in the top 25, but this is by far the one that gets 'em dancing every Saturday night on Q105.

  • #5: Vanilla Ice: Ice Ice Baby

    David Bowie's contribution to the Saturday Night Dance Party! ;-) "Ice" is definitely one of our favorite guilty pleasure songs too.

  • #6: Shannon: Let The Music Play

    "Give Me Tonight" was also among our most-requested songs this year, but "Let The Music Play" is the Shannon jam that lit up our lines most in 2019. She became one of my favorite human beings at Freestyle Explosion at USF in Tampa this year. One of the kindest most humble artists I've ever met! And hearing this song live was so awesome!

  • #7: C+C Music Factory: Gonna Make You Sweat

    Such great 90s stuff! David Cole and Robert Clivillés gave us some great beats in the early 90s. The rap by Freedom Williams with Martha Wash's incredible vocals, "Sweat" is one we get calls for every week.

  • #8: Snap: The Power

    My second favorite Snap! song! My favorite is "Rhythm is a Dancer"... but this was clearly your favorite and it's your show! Not mine! :)

  • #9: Stevie B: Party Your Body

    Stevie's 2nd song in the Top 10! Stevie hinted at some kind of New Year's Eve party in Tampa at Freestyle Explosion but unfortunately it never panned out.

  • #10: Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock: It Takes Two

    I still know every word and am fortunate we don't have a studio web cam when it comes on. We don't get many calls for Rob's other jams, it's almost always for this one. But go look up his others... he had some great club hits like "Joy n' Pain" and "Get On The Dance Floor."
