The drop tower, which takes you up really high and then drops you quickly toward the ground only to slow to a stop at the very last moment, is a favorite for so many people. Just ask Geno who can't visit Busch Gardens without riding Falcon's Fury, which stands a whopping 335-feet-tall. This new ride will smash that record for tallest free-standing drop tower in North America.
The new ride is being built at Orlando's ICON Park. The Drop Tower will join other rides ta ICON Park that includes The Wheel at ICON Park,
Madame Tussauds Orlando and the Orlando StarFlyer, the current record holder for the world’s tallest swing ride. When the Drop Tower opens, it will become the tallest free-standing drop tower at an amazing 430 feet! When it drops, riders will fall at speeds up to 75 miles per hour! Who wants to see Geno ride this one when it opens?
The ride is expected to open sometime around Summer 2021. ICON Park is located at 8375 International Dr. in Orlando.
