Students in a math class at Barbara Goleman Senior High were shocked witnessing a substitute teacher allegedly body-slammed one of the students.

The incident, which was captured on a cell phone, is being investigating by the school district.

Another student named Danny Echavarria was in the class and saw what happened. He explained that the teacher and the student started arguing becasue the studnet wanted to leave to do the restroom. The teacher demanded that he wait. (There are COVID restroom restrictions in place and only one student can go at a time.

“After waiting for a while (about a half hour), the kid just decided to walk out. The sub tried to stop him, and it just got into, like, a wrestle match,” Echavarria said.

In the video, the substitue teacher says, “You’re just a kid. I don’t want to touch you. Go sit down."
