USF Sun Dome Celebrating 40 Years
The Sun Dome, now the Yuengling Center, just celebrated 40 years.
And the University of South Florida Basketball program just celebrated the big 5-0. Tony Grier is a major part of USF Basketball history and has chronicled it in his book, A Raging Bull: Chasing the Big Time.
Tony says his book is a “Tribute to USF,” and explains, “The official opening of the Sun Dome (Yuengling Center) was considered the night of the USF vs. Duke
game on 12/2/80, so we officially celebrated the 40th Anniversary earlier this month.”
I loved chatting with Tony and recounting amazing Bulls Basketball memories on The Current. ~Roxanne
