Tampa Getting Churro-Specialty Dessert Eatery
Everyone in Tampa knows what churros are. Now, they are becoming a specialty item with it’s own genre of dessert eatery.
It started in California with Hiccups Restaurant and Tea House. Then came Churroholic, which also moved across to Texas, and will be opening soon in Tampa! Hiccups Churroholic’s first Tampa area location will be in Carrollwood. You’ll find it in the Cascades Shopping Center at the corner of Fletcher Ave. and Dale Mabry Hwy. What will they have that makes them so special?
This is a dessert place, but they have so much more. There are all sorts of flavors of churros, plus ice cream, milkshakes, specialty coffee drinks, milk teas, and fruit slushies. Check out their menu here.

They’re so simple to make in a hurry, but these Tampa area spots take the sandwich to the next level, creating a masterpiece between those slices of bread. Now before anyone complains, the Chicken Tenders Pub Sub I always rave about when it’s on sale didn’t make the list but it’s certainly an honorable mention. As are the great subs at Brocato’s in Tampa or the legendary Cubans we have all over Tampa Bay. But the Cuban sandwiches deserve their own countdown I’ll do at some point.
