Not only will Steven Stamkos be back this season, so is the free Chick-fil-A!

I just took a peek and the Tampa Bay Lightning website lists the “We Win You Win” promotion. If the Lightning win at home, you get some free Chick-fil-A the next day.

To get the free sandwich…
You’ll need to get the Chick-fil-A app on your phone. When a home game ends at Amalie Arena, you have until midnight to log in and claim a free Chick-fil-A sandwich or biscuit. The Bolts website says the team has to win, but in some years, they reward you even with a loss so it’s worth checking either way. If you claim the freebie before midnight, you’ll see the reward in your app the next day. Or if it’s a Saturday game, you’ll see it on Monday since Chick-fil-A is closed Sundays. If you don’t see the offer after the game, close the app and relaunch it a few minutes later. Sometimes, there is a bit of a delay. Also, make sure the Chick-fil-A app can determine your location. The offer only works at Tampa Bay area restaurants.

Now my personal tip – since this freebie is in your app, place your full order with the app, pay with it and opt for in store pickup. Lines in the drive thru are always long, but they can get craaaazy long the day after a Lightning home game. Check in when you arrive and you’ll see all the jealous hungry people shoot you a dirty look when you walk out with your food when they haven’t even ordered yet. Rub salt in the wound if you like by whispering to yourself as you walk by them “and to think I didn’t even have to pay for this.”

Free double cheeseburger too!
Another freebie to mention is from Wendy’s. Even if it’s not a home game, if the Lightning score 4 goals or more, you get a free Double Stack burger at Wendy’s. For this one, just show the tweet from the Lightning from the point in the game when the Bolts scored their 4th goal. The offer also works if the Lightning get the shut out.
