The mayor of St. Petersburg will release to the public the proposals for the land where Tropicana Field sits.

We're creeping closer to the end of the lease agreement between the Tampa Bay Rays and Tropicana Field. The city of St. Petersburg is looking at what can be done with the land. At 4 p.m., those proposals went online.

The website of the City of St. Petersburg described the land as 86 acres of publicly owned land in the middle of a bustling city.

Mayor Rick Kriseman put together a committee to look at many proposals and narrowed the field to seven. Click here to view the proposals. The website with the proposals is set up for feedback from readers. There is a great deal of information in each proposal.

The lease agreement between the Tampa Bay Rays and the stadium ends in 2027. There is still talk of a split season between the Tampa Bay area and Montreal. The Rays are looking to obtain ownership of 50 acres of land where they can have a stadium.

Mayor Kriseman would prefer the the city remains in control of the property.

Here's the press conference with Mayor Rick Kriseman.
