There will be stiff penalties by law enforcement for unauthorized drones near the site of the Super Bowl and the Super Bowl Experience.

According to the FAA, drones will not be allowed within one nautical mile of Raymond James Stadium beginning at 10 a.m. on February 7. Then, at 5:30 p.m., a "Temporary Flight Restriction" (TFR) will go into affect. Until 11:59 p.m., drones will be prohibited within 30 nautical miles of Raymond James Stadium, up to 18,000 feet high.

For the Super Bowl Experience at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park and Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, there is a restriction of drones for two nautical miles. This restriction runs from January 29th until February 6th during the operating hours of the event.

Those who violate the TFR could face civil penalties that exceed $30,000. They could also face criminal charges.
