Polk County Deputies Have Large Alligator In Lakeland Removed
An alligator wandering a sidewalk not far from a school needed to be removed Thursday by a trapper. The video shows it was a big one, too!
The trapper, Doug Payne, was called to remove the 10 foot long reptile, weighing as much as 800 pounds. It was found on a sidewalk in a residential area near Scott Lake.
School children were understandably frightened of the alligator, caught a few blocks away from Lakeland Highlands Middle School.
The video, by Deputy Ashtin Mosley, shows the large alligator as it was being wrangled by the trapper. A 10 foot long alligator is about average.
