The Tampa Bay Lightning raise the banner celebrating winning the Stanley Cup for the 2019-20 NHL season during a game against the Chicago Blackhawks on opening night of the 2020-21 NHL season at Amalie Arena.

There will be fans back in the stands at Tampa Bay Lightning and Toronto Raptors games starting next month, according to the Tampa Bay Times. Games will be played next week, but only a handful of family and friends of the team will be there to watch.

The goal is to get 3,000 fans into the arena about one month from now. The arena isn’t giving a specific date though.  They say that management will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 here in the area and make a decision in the next few weeks about when season tickets and a limited number of fans will be let back in to watch the games in person.

The Toronto Raptors have announced they will finish their season here in Tampa. They won’t return to Canada. [Source: Tampa Bay Times]
