As malls are seeing less foot traffic, you may be thinking, "That's odd. More Sephora's at the mall?"
The two new Sephora stores will NOT be in traditional malls.
There's a big development project happening in Midtown Tampa. One of the new Sephora's will go in there. Also, one will be opening in South Tampa's Hyde Park Village.
Nichola Haines is CEO of the midtown development and explained, “As a preeminent, international beauty brand, Sephora joins our best-in-class collection of personal care, beauty, health and wellness offerings in Midtown,” said Nicholas Haines, CEO of Midtown developer the Bromley Companies in a statement. “With Sephora, we’re moving quickly toward a fully leased, mixed-use development with a full slate of tenants.”
It's been a struggle for many stores in malls throughout the pandemic. This new approach will hopefully, increase sales.
Nicole Dee is the GM at Hyde Park Village and said, “Sephora’s expanded footprint in Tampa certainly points to the progression of this great city and we are thrilled to welcome them to our dynamic mix here at Hyde Park Village. Sephora joins an exciting lineup of new tenants set to open in 2021.”
The Midtown Sephora will be located at 3650 Midtown Drive. Construction costs are estimated at $562,000.
It will be nice to have locations outside of traditional malls that you can just pop into.
