You may have read about the ticket given to the driver of a car on I-95 who swerved to avoid a couch that fell off a truck in the same lane. The story didn't end there, thanks to a Tampa radio host who happens to work at Q105!

MJ, who goes as Todd Schnitt on his syndicated talk show, relayed the story to his national audience. Jake Singer and his girlfriend were driving on I-95 on their way home to Washington. A couch fell from the truck in front of them (the truck did not stop) and the couple swerved to avoid hitting the debris in the road. The car hit the median and flipped over. Though the couple survived, they were taken to a hospital, where the Florida highway patrolman gave them their ticket.

The story might have ended there, but as luck would have it, Florida's state CFO, Jimmy Petronis, was listening in the Florida Panhandle to a station carrying Schnitt's show. Patronis made some calls, as he has those connections, and a correction was made. The citation is to be dismissed.

You can hear the conversation that Jimmy Patronis had with Todd Schnitt in more detail.

Special thanks to Florida's CFO, Jimmy Patronis, who took the time to talk to MJ.

Here are some of the most well-known landmarks from the state of Florida. What do you think is the most iconic sight in Florida?
