Did you change your clocks yet? Setting your clock an hour earlier makes you feel off for days and most people find that it’s harder to go to sleep. These are 5 things you can do to help get to bed on time.
5: Put the phone away! The blue light from your phone screen can keep you from falling asleep, plus the scrolling and games keep your brain active.
4: Set an alarm. Waking up at the same time every morning keeps your sleep cycle more regular. While sleeping in feels like your helping your body rest, over the week it will affect how you sleep at night.
3: Get the early bird special. Eat dinner at least 3 hours before going to bed and try to avoid alcohol. Letting your body process dinner before laying down will help you to fall asleep faster.
2: Skip that afternoon coffee. Caffeine can stay in your system for 12 hours and make you stay up later than you want.
1: Get some exercise. Go outside for a walk, but a few hours before bed. Exercising too late in the night will keep you up.
