A Tampa man won big from a Florida Lottery scratch-off game.
We've had some good luck in the Tampa Bay area over the past few weeks. This lucky guy won the top prize in the "50X The Cash" Scratch-Off game from the Florida Lottery.
Windell Nelson, a 31-year-old of Tampa, won the $1 million top prize and popped the ticket into a secured drop box at Florida Lottery Headquarters. He chose to take the one-time payment of $890,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven, located at 902 East Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa. The store will receive a $2,000 commission for selling the winning ticket.
