Driver Estimated Doing 75 MPH On 4th Street In St. Petersburg
The 43-year-old woman had a blood alcohol level way over the legal limit.
The St. Petersburg police report said Olga Davis lost control of her 2008 Subaru Impreza on 4th St. N. She was speeding and crossing over lanes, lost control, and hit a man on a sidewalk.
The man was pinned beneath the suspect’s car and was later pronounced dead the scene. St. Pete Police were still trying to identify the pedestrian.
Davis was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. After being released from the hospital, she was arrested for DUI Manslaughter, Vehicular Homicide and DUI Property Damage. She was booked into the Pinellas County Jail. She was held on $41,000 bond.
On the St. Pete Police Facebook page, Davis had a “medical alcohol blood level of .213” and the legal limit is .08. According to TampaBay.com, police estimated her speed at over 75 mph in a 45 zone.
