NFL Gives Buccaneers Extra Road Game
Coming off a Super Bowl-winning season the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the entire NFL learned next year will look a little different. Since 1978 the NFL has played a 16 game season but hoping for an increase in media revenue and a drop in the salary cap next year the NFL is going to a 17 game season.
During a Zoom interview before the announcement, Buccaneers head Coach Bruce Arians said, “You might as well embrace it because it is coming.”
The extra game will put Bucs fans on the road against the Indianapolis Colts. Also, the NFL eliminated one preseason game. The Bucs will have two preseason home games and one road game. Coach Arians likes the short pre-season saying, “I like the three.”
The full NFL schedule with dates will be out later this year.
