Spring Breaker Dies Jumping From Florida Hotel Balcony With Parachute

Here’s what happened when a man tried to parachute off a building balcony.

The man in his 20’s tried jumping from the 14th floor of the Sunrise Beach Resort in Panama City. This happened Sunday, March 21. The BASE jumper leapt from the balcony and his parachute failed to open. Panama City Beach police are investigating.

BASE jumpers often break laws to find new places to jump. Buildings, towers, and bridges are often common places for BASE jumpers. BASE is an acronym for building, antenna, span, and earth.
