Just south of the Bay, a Manatee County woman becomes latest to win big from a Florida Lottery scratch-off game.
Spreading the wins around the Tampa Bay area, 33-year-old Baneza Brown from Palmetto is the latest $1 million winner. This woman has won the top prize in the "$1,000,000 Money Tree Scratch-Off" game from the Florida Lottery. The game is a $5 scratch-off ticket.
Brown claimed her prize at the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. She chose to take the one-time payment of $880,000. She told the Florida Lottery her plans include buying a house for her family.
The winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven, located at 2011 Cortez Road West in Bradenton. The store will receive a $2,000 commission for selling the winning ticket. According to FlaLottery.com, there were 4 $1 million top prizes available, and there's still one remaining. There are also prizes from $5 to $50,000 still to be found.
