It was a nice spring break while it lasted for these guests, and then this.
It all happened at Champions World Resort, located on State Road 192 in Kissimmee. It’s about a 10 mile ride from the resort to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
Around Spring break, it’s already tough to find rooms in such a tourist-heavy area. The hotel was sold, and so the building needed to be emptied out.
Employees went door-to-door to let guests know they needed to pack up and leave the property. The resort was “booked to capacty” according to WESH Orlando. Employees were also told they were being fired. The website for Champions World Resort has been taken down.
