Tampa Couple Wins On HGTV Competition Series
If you’ve been watching HGTV, you may have seen their second season of “Rock the Block”. The results are in!
The second season featured teams of two trying to raise the value of four houses in Georgia. Each of the four teams was given a set amount of money to spend on their projects. The four houses were built but left “unfinished” for this competition. Extreme Makeover’s Ty Pennington hosted this competition.
Tampa Bay’s Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt have another series on HGTV, “100 Day Dream Home.” They build houses from the ground up in 100 days (or fewer), customized for their clients. The couple is in their second season of shows. They joined other HGTV personalities in this six-week-long competition.

Each week, the houses had a section worked on: kitchen area, bedrooms, basement, exterior. There was a judging each week, and the weekly winners would get money to add to what they were given at the start of the season for their projects. Brian and Mika did not win any of the rounds leading up to the finale.
Brian and Mika weren’t the only Floridians in the competition. Another team featured David Bromstad, host of “My Lottery Dream Home”. He resides up I-4 in Orlando. The other teams were made of up of: Bromstad and Tiffany Brooks (competitor on “Design Star”), Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent (hosts of “Nate and Jeremiah: Save My House”) and Alison Victoria (of “Windy City Rehab”) and Mike Holmes (“Holmes + Holmes).
As the newest champions from Tampa, Brian and Mika enjoyed the spoils of their win, including being able to make this video.
