Did you notice it? One of the WWE wrestlers performing at WrestleMania Sunday used the opportunity to shout out a Tampa charity.

Ettore Ewen (known as "Big E" in WWE) has a lot of ties to the area. He was born here in Tampa. He attended Wharton High School. After playing college football, he trained to enter the ring here in Tampa at Florida Championship Wrestling on Dale Mabry. Ewen has done quite well for himself. He's held several WWE titles both as a singles wrestler and as part of the tag team The New Day. Even though he came up on the short end of the stick Sunday at WrestleMania, losing his Intercontinental belt, the day was a win for Feeding Tampa Bay.

Big E

You don't see it clearly in this shot I took, but if you watch the WrestleMania replay, you'll see the Feeding Tampa Bay logo on Big E's gear.

On his wrestling tights, if you look closely, you can see the mention of the organization. The exposure to millions of pro wrestling fans around the world is great for the charity. But Ewen is going a step further. He's auctioning off the gear with proceeds going to Feeding Tampa Bay. He's autographed two pieces up for auction right now. Here are the rest of my shots from Sunday at WrestleMania at Raymond James Stadium.
