Tampa, St. Pete, Lutz and Tarpon Springs High Schools Make US News & World Report Best List
U.S. News and World Report is out with its ratings for the best high schools in the state. Of the 24,000 U.S. public high schools in the country that made their rankings, 602 were in Florida.
The school that came in 2nd place statewide is in Osprey, just south of Sarasota. The report found that Pine View School has a 100% graduation rate and a college readiness score of 99.2%. Nationally, the school came in at #29.
Plant High School in Tampa also made the list, coming in at #38 with at 96% graduation rate and 66.2 college readiness score. Other schools that made the Top 100 on the list include Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School, Sickles High School, and Robinson High School all in Tampa, Steinbrenner High School in Lutz, St. Petersburg Collegiate High School, and East Lake High School in Tarpon Springs.
