The online shopping site keeps growing. The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that Amazon has announced its next two distribution centers. One will be in Tampa on Harney Road not far from the casino. It's about 27-1/2 acres and should open sometime this year. The other will be a 23 acre site in Gibsonton at 13010 Bay Industrial Drive opening sometime in 2022.

Both new sites will be "last mile" distribution centers, meaning they'll be where packages are prepared and sorted for their final delivery. Amazon says the new facilities will employ hundreds with wages starting at $15 per hour.

Also in the works is a "massive, multistory" warehouse. That'll be located in Temple Terrace. No word on the rumored Pinellas Park site. [Source: TBBJ]
