MAY 14 UPDATE: Sure enough… the tour has been postponed until 2022.

Original story from May 9:
At the moment, three dates in Florida are planned for The Stadium Tour with Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett. The tour kicks off in just a few weeks on June 19 in Nashville. The Florida stops on the tour happen a week later. Miami is first with a show June 26 at Hard Rock Stadium with a show the next night in Orlando at Camping World Stadium. The tour returns for a Jacksonville date in August at TIAA Bank Field. Nothing yet for Tampa though. Tickets are still on sale for all 3 shows, but there’s speculation that the tour may be pushed back again. And it’s Motley Crue’s Vince Neil that might have spilled the beans.

The Stadium Tour was already delayed by a year due to COVID-19. Even though shots are going in arms and more are getting vaccinated everyday, it doesn’t seem to be a sure thing that the shows will go on as planned. This week, a casino hotel in New York announced a Vince Neil concert for Friday, June 18. That date doesn’t conflict with any dates for The Stadium Tour, but it does seem strange that Vince would play a small solo show like this a day before the massive stadium tour would begin with the rest of Motley Crue. You’d think if the tour is still moving forward for 2021, he’d want to rest up before the big stadium dates begin.

Tickets are already on sale for this new Vince Neil solo show at Batavia Downs. Concert goers have to show a negative COVID test result or proof of immunization to get in to the show, whether they have a ticket or not. Seat groupings are being sold six feet apart. And that brings up another reason it’s likely The Stadium Tour will be pushed back again. Tickets were sold for The Stadium Tour long before the coronavirus changed our lives. There are no gaps in seating like there have been for newly-announced concerts.
