Dover High School Teacher Arrested For Soliciting a Minor

Another teacher has been arrested, accused to soliciting an undercover Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office detective. HCSO says 37 year old Michael Peace thought he was communicating with a 14 year old and sent graphic video of himself. Peace is a history teacher at Strawberry Crest High School. They say he is a former wrestling coach. He's on his way to Orient Road Jail as the investigation continues.

HCSO says Peace was the one who initiated the conversation. They say he asked for nude photos of what he thought was a 14 year old boy. Police want to know if there are any area students or minors that were victims. Anyone with information is asked to call (813) 247-8200.

“It is the ultimate betrayal of trust when mentors and leaders within our community take advantage of their position of authority over young victims,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister on Facebook. “Parents should not have to worry about teachers preying on their children. We will not stop conducting these types of undercover operations until it is clear to everyone that predatory behavior will not be tolerated in Hillsborough County, especially within our schools.” [Source: HCSO]
