A Polk County man gets a huge score from a Florida Lottery scratch-off game.
James Fuchs, 28, of Winter Haven is the latest big winner. He won a $5 million top prize in the "200X The Cash" game from the Florida Lottery. The game is a $20 scratch-off ticket.
Fuchs claimed his prize at the Orlando District Office. He chose to take the one-time payment of $4,450,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at Discount Beverage, located at 304 U.S. Highway 17-92 North in Davenport. The store will receive a $10,000 commission for selling the winning ticket. The "200X The Cash" game launched in September of 2020, and according to FlaLottery.com, there were 10 $5 million prizes available, two of which remain. There are also prizes ranging from $20 to $1,000,000.
