The newest, largest ship in the Carnival Cruise fleet can now show off all what they have to offer. Not the least of which is a roller coaster. Yes, there's a roller coaster named Bolt aboard this the Carnival Mardi Gras! The 800-foot track travels around the ship where you'll see the ocean around you as you soar 180 feet above sea level. The two-seat vehicles have cameras that will send your images (and reactions on Bolt) straight to your phone.
But it's not just about Bolt. The ship has 19 decks and can carry as many as 5,200-6,500 passengers plus a crew of 2,000. Mardi Gras' home port will be Port Canaveral. The ship was built in Finland where it had begun its construction in 2018.
When you enter the ship, there's a three-deck-high atrium with floor-to-ceiling windows, plus movable LED screens that open to an ocean view. In the press release, the Carnival Mardi Gras will feature six distinctive zones, including a dining experience by chef Emeril Lagasse. Also, the first appearance of Big Chicken, a restaurant from Shaquille O'Neal, two locations on ship from Guy Fieri and a new concept from master chef Rudi Sodamin.
You'll need to keep an eye out for when cruising become available again, hopefully in the not-so-distant future!
