California Man Wins $1 Million From Florida Lottery
Another out-of-state winner takes home a big check from the Florida Lottery.
A week ago, the Florida Lottery announced an Illinois woman won $1 million from a scratch-off ticket. Today, they announced that Quang Vo, 59, a trucker from El Monte California, won $1 million from a Powerball drawing. He claimed his winnings at the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
Vo purchased the ticket from the Ocala Stopping Center, located at 7401 West Highway 318 in Reddick, for the December 9, 2020 drawing. His ticket matched all five white balls but missed the Powerball number. The store will receive $1,000 for selling the winning Powerball ticket.
He told the Florida Lottery,
“I try to buy a Lottery ticket in every state I pass through when I’m on the road. You never know when you could be a winner!”
Powerball is currently up to $63 million, and the next drawing is tonight, Wednesday 23, 2021.
