VIDEO: Condo Collapse Near Miami

SURFSIDE, FLORIDA - JUNE 24: A portion of the 12-story condo tower crumbled to the ground following a partial collapse of the building on June 24, 2021 in Surfside, Florida. It is unknown at this time how many people were injured as search-and-rescue effort continues with rescue crews from across Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

Just frightening photos this morning of a disaster overnight just north of Miami. Channel 8 reports at least one person has died after a condo partially collapsed sometime around 2am this morning. The 12 story building “has literally pancaked” according to their mayor. One witness said it looked like a bomb hit. Rescue crews are on the scene in force hoping to find survivors at the complex at 8777 Collins Avenue in Surfside, Florida. [Source: Channel 8]
