A huge congratulations to 17 year old Erriyon Knighton from Hillsborough High School! Fox 13 reports he came in third place last night in the men's 200 meter trials in Portland, Oregon. Knighton earned his spot to compete for Team USA in the Tokyo Olympics! How significant is this? Earning a spot on the US Olympic Track Team at his age hasn't happened since 1964!

Knighton has been making jaws drop for the past few weeks after breaking one of Usain Bolt's records. He told Fox 13 breaking the record wasn't even on his mind at the time. He just wanted to set a new personal best.

The craziest part about all this? Erriyon's reason for joining the track team (just three years ago) was so he could be faster on the football field! [Source: Fox 13]
