If you believe, or even if you don't, Bigfoot will be the subject of a conference in Lakeland.

The RP Funding Center is the site for the Great Florida Bigfoot Conference. Here in Florida, the creature is known as the Skunk Ape. Whether it's Bigfoot, Skunk Ape, Sasquatch, or one of many other names, there are people who want to know more about it. (Including whether it even exists)

There have been Bigfoot sightings in all 50 states, but Florida has the second highest number of reports. There is a Skunk Ape Research Headquarters in Ochopee, Florida, where you can take a tour through Everglades National Park, Big Cypress National Preserve, and other locations. You'll see the habitat, but likely won't actually see a skunk ape.

The event begins Saturday at 10 a.m. and will include headlining speakers you may have seen on "Finding Bigfoot", Cliff Barackman and James "Bobo" Fay. The TV show "Finding Bigfoot" on Animal Planet looks to find evidence that proves the existence of the creature. So far, the show hasn't proven, well, anything.

Do you believe there's a creature out there?
