Orlando, Sarasota Listed In ‘World’s Greatest Places of 2021’ From Time Magazine
Two of the 100 greatest places were found right here in Florida. What made Time Magazine select these two locations?
The third annual list of “The World’s Greatest Places” took nominations of places, whether countries, cities or entire regions, from their worldwide contributors. They narrowed it down to 100, and for two of the destinations to be in Florida shows just what a great state this is.
TIME Magazine released their list of the “World’s Greatest Places of 2021” and both Orlando and Sarasota were listed.
Of Sarasota, they wrote that Miami had been the focus in Florida, but now that there’s a city on the Gulf that has become a ‘cultural capital’ as it celebrates its centennial. Listing the new Sarasota Art Museum of Ringling College and The Bay, a 53-acre park that will open this year, Sarasota is still growing and becoming an upscale destination. Of course, we know it has some of the nicest beaches to enjoy the Gulf and the sunsets.
Now, Orlando has long been one of the most visited destinations in the world. Featuring Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and a plenty of other theme parks, there’s so much more to the culture of Orlando. However, it’s the theme parks that drew the attention to TIME Magazine. New attractions to each of the major theme parks and new resorts all around the Orlando area continues to keep this part of central Florida as one of the most popular destinations for families in the world.
