If the Florida Gators were their own country, they’d be ahead about 60 countries in the Olympics this year. Those 13 medals put the Gators ahead of countries like Switzerland, Brazil, Spain, Austria and Sweden! The 7 gold medals would put them in 7th place ahead of France, Italy and Germany! Chomp. Chomp.

If the Florida Gators were their own country, they'd be ahead about 60 countries in the Olympics this year. The medals keep piling up in Tokyo. Last night, swimmer Caleb Dressel won his FIFTH gold medal. Clearwater's Robert Finke won his second.

The University of Florida athletes have been so dominant there's an entire website and social media presence in place to track their success. @GatorsOlympics on Twitter has over 5,000 followers. GatorsOlympics.com keeps a running tally of medals won. That count this morning: 7 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze.

Those 13 medals put the Gators ahead of countries like Switzerland, Brazil, Spain, Austria and Sweden! The 7 gold medals would put them in 7th place ahead of France, Italy and Germany! Chomp. Chomp.
