What a great way to start off a new business.

46-year-old Brian Woodle of Callahan, Florida, won the $1 million top prize in the “$5 Gold Rush Supreme” scratch-off game. He claimed his winnings at the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He took the lump-sum payment of $880,000.

Woodle and his wife had just opened their own auto repair shop. He said:

“I love working on vehicles and it has always been my dream to own my own repair shop. At the end of our first day I stopped by Circle K to get a few things and picked up a Lottery ticket; just like that we won a million bucks!”

He purchased the $5 Gold Rush Supreme scratch-off ticket at the Circle K located at 540251 U.S. Highway 1 in Callahan, just north of Jacksonville. The store will receive $2,000 for selling the winning ticket. The game was launched in January, 2021 and features prizes of $5 to $1 million. There are still 8 of the 24 top prizes remaining.
