The Hillsborough Transportation Planning Organization voted to move forward on the plan.
The committee voted 14-0 to move forward on the Tampa Riverwalk extension that would bring it up the west side of the Hillsborough River. The projected cost for the extension is $30 million. That would consist of $24 million from federal funds, plus $6 million from the city of Tampa.
