Florida Woman Wins $2 Million Twice On Same Drawing
The odds were in the favor of a woman had two tickets that each earned her a big Mega Millions win.
Susan Fitton, 64, of Boca Raton, matched all 5 white balls in the September 14 drawing. The Mega Ball didn’t match, so that would be a $1 million win, however, Fitton had added the “Megaplier” which turned the win to $2 million.
But it wasn’t just one ticket. She had two identical sets of numbers. Two tickets that each won $2 million. The Florida Lottery did not say whether Fitton made the purchase intentionally. She claimed her winnings at the West Palm Beach District Office.
Susan purchased the tickets at Prip Mart in Boca Raton. The store will receive a $10,000 commission for selling the tickets. According to Mega Millions, odds of matching the five white balls without the Mega Ball are 1 in 12,607,306.
