A 41-year-old man was arrested on Saturday after shoplifting from a Walmart in Largo, according to police. Apparently, Joel Lewis stole two watches from Walmart, but was spotted by an employee. The employee told police that he was wearing a Rob Gronkowski jersey.
Cops began searching the area, and eventually found Lewis hiding in a nearby bush still wearing the Gronkowski jersey. After a brief chase, Lewis was caught by police. He admitted to stealing the watches, and court filings indicate that he "apologized for his actions."
Lewis was booked in the Pinellas County Jail on a $2150 bond. The Smoking Gun reports that the watches totaled a value of $39.76.
