Sean McMahon's Facebook post about his 7-year-old, who pulled in a bass from a pond, featured the caption:
**Alligator Alert** Dawson caught a bass tonight and out of nowhere an alligator came up, Ate the bass and ripped his pole into the water
Coached on by his dad, Dawson reeled in the fish. However, once the fish was on land, an alligator decided to make it his own meal. The child got away safely and quickly. His fishing pole, not so lucky.
