David Bowie fans were treated today (October 15) with the first preview of the late icon's upcoming album, Toy, in the form of two tracks: "Karma Man" and "Silly Boy Blue (Alternative Ending Mix)."
As previously reported, Toy is a long-shelved Bowie album initially recorded 20 years ago and comprised of re-recorded versions of some of his early work from 1964-1971. Toy will be released on its own on January 7, 2022, but it will also be housed in a new box set, DAVID BOWIE 5: BRILLIANT ADVENTURE (1992 - 2001), which comes out on November 26.
As for the track previews, Rolling Stone notes, "Both 'Karma Man' and 'Silly Boy Blue' date back to the late Sixties; the former was performed by Bowie during BBC sessions, while the latter appeared on Bowie’s self-titled debut album in 1967." Both tracks can be heard below.
