Tampa Bay Area Hooters Not Involved in ‘Skimpy’ New Shorts
Hooters received a lot of backlash from employees over uniform changes, but Tampa Bay area Hooters locations are not involved.
Hooters of America recently changed their uniform policy, to which many Hooters Girls described as the new shorts being “like underwear.” However, after online backlash of the new uniform policy, the franchise decided to make their change optional.
Here is one TikTok’er, @theflathootersgirl, describing the style change of the shorts. She describes the shorts as a “crotch string” rather than having a bottom portion.
@theflathootersgirl Reply to @kat.abrramo so here’s what they look like on! I had to use a tape measure for my sizing and then I still couldn’t get them off after this video :) #uniform #hooters #shorts #hooterstiktok #college #waitress #restaurant #hootersgirledition #OneSliceChallenge

The change only affects restaurants operated by Hooters of America, which operates 420 locations. However, these are separate from the Tampa Bay area Hooters locations.
There are 25 Hooters locations operated by Original Hooters Group, which owns the landmark Original Hooters restaurant in Clearwater. Original Hooters Group decided to not opt-in to the uniform changes.
