Medical Examiner Called To Florida Park In Search For Brian Laundrie
Reports of “articles” believed to belong to Brian Laundrie found in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park are being investigated.
“Partial human remains”, according to NBC News, were found, cited by News Channel 8. The area where the find was made was previously under water.
As the investigation into the disappearance of Brian Laundrie continues, there’s been a sudden increase in activity in the park where law enforcement has focused much of their attention. Laundrie’s parents were at the park, according to the family attorney.
North Port Police have closed off the park. A tent was set up at a site inside the park where a number of law enforcement vehicles are arriving. The Sarasota County Medical Examiner’s Office was called to the scene. Exactly what was found was not released to the media at the time.
According to a statement at an FBI press conference from the park, a backpack and notebook that belonged to Brian Laundrie were found at the site.
Brian Laundrie is the person of interest in the disappearance and death of 22-year-old Gabby Petito.
