Brian Nelson just won a one million dollar Florida Lottery prize.
His planned splurge purchases might surprise you. The 26 year-old out of Leesburg won on the new $20 instant game. It's called Gold Rush Limited. His winning ticket was purchased at the Quik Mart on California Street in Leesburg. That Quik Mart will receive a $2,000 sales commission.
Not only did Nelson have some excitement in his life after winning, but he also recently got engaged to Emily Pelton.
"You won't believe what he's most excited about buying with his winnings," Pelton said.
Upon his visit to Tallahassee where the lottery offices are headquartered, Nelson elaborated. "I'm just looking forward to upgrading to an electric toothbrush and splurging on a good pair of flip flops."
He opted to take his winnings as a one lump sum payment of $795,000 (before taxes).
