Pinellas County Is Finally Getting Its Own Portillo’s

Tampa and Brandon have been chomping down on those Chicago-style hot dogs and Italian Beef sandwiches, munching on the cheese fries and devouring those chocolate cake shakes for a few years now. The Brandon location opened in 2016. The Tampa restaurant opened a year or so later. Now it’s our turn Pinellas.

There's even a Portillo's now inside Amalie Arena. Now it's our turn Pinellas.

St. Pete Rising reports that Portillo's is coming to the Tyrone Square Mall. It'll be where Romano's Macaroni Grill used to be. They closed in 2020. The 7800 square foot building at 2302 Tyrone Boulevard North will look a lot like the Orlando location near the newly opened White Castle if you've seen it. This new St. Pete Portillo's could open as soon as next year. [Source: St. Pete Rising]
