While the Suicide Awareness Show is about a heavy topic, this show, brought to you by LIVE, ACHIEVE, BELIEVE, is going to uplift and inspire audience members.
Live, Achieve, Believe, Inc. (LAB) is a nonprofit agency with a mission to promote personal development. The "Suicide Awareness Showdown” is a celebration of those who have embraced life over despair.
On Saturday, November 27th the LAB will host the first in a series of four “Dear Me..." Part one is: “Dear Me, Where Have You Been?” The performance will include dancing, singing, poetry, plus an award ceremony.
Recent studies indicate that there has been an increase in suicide among black youths and other minority populations. According to Aniah Danielle Edwards, who is co-founder of LAB, “Education is the key to helping all individuals of all ages and genders realize that there are other options that will enable them to choose life as they resolve their challenges."
